I like drawing moths as of late
I wanted to be more dangerous
than I am. Wanted
to never be hurt again, to imagine
I could be of some use
in a revolution.
My friend Jack tried to teach me
how to fire a gun
but it was strange and heavy,
like holding death
in my hands and my fingers
weren’t strong enough
to pull the trigger.
It’s just not something
that comes naturally I guess
like writing poems
or loving you
It’s one more thing
to work at.

Moleskine pages, strathmore sketch paper
Moleskines have that creamy, soft aesthetic that I really love, and I don’t really edit the hue on those. When I draw on just plain white paper though, I get that warm hue from using a photo editor thingalingmajig
